I have just noticed that I have constant power to my trailer running lights on the 7 &4 pin connectors I have a 2005 F250 SD.
I have pulled all the relays and the running light pins still have constant power the only way to remove power is to pull fuse 38 which cuts power to the connectors.
The lights on the truck works fine it's only on the trailer connectors i'm having the problem with. Not sure where the problem is.
I been told that I may have to replace my CJB "Control Junction Box"
I'm planning to leave for vacation Tuesday will this hurt my truck or camper during hauling? Any help will be appricated.
My wife pulged in the 7 pin connector upside down and drove the camper awhile I then found that fuse # 38 was blown I replaced the fuse and this when I started noticing the problem. The truck lights work fine and the trailer lights for the turn signals work ok too.
Thinking the upside-down plug jammed some pins in either the truck or trailer connector, or maybe fried a relay closed; now you're getting constant voltage where you shouldn't.

The problem is in both plugs 4 & 7 I've been told today that the problem is most likely my central junction box Is this the main fuse box or the one under the hood?
I'm trying to picture what happens and where power goes when the seven way is 180 degrees upside down.
-It isn't a good thing, I know that.
The turn sigs would be unaffected. (just backwards when turning)
Direct 12V would go into the running lights. Running lights of the truck would be applied to the RV battery.
The brake power supply output would go directly to ground (from the controller).
The brakes themselves would not work (in the trailer) but this would not hurt them.
Near as I can determine, the main thing affected would be a dead shorted high ampere signal out of your brake controller.
I bet it fried, and took something else with it..
I'm still puzzled about how a seven way with a notch as big as it is can be rammed in topsy-turvy....
It's impossible with a four way flat - it just won't go!
I'm almost sure that the relay for the running lights in the CJB has been shorted which means it has to be replaced. Does anyone know the list price and location of the CJB?
