Just have to get a good source (resturant) and keep them happy. they will work with you if you keep them happy. but being a big city sure dont help. might have to venture to Banks or Helvatia or some where out side of the normal flow. but all that crazyness you can have. there stealing cubbies here, but not to the extent of what you guys have for sure.

the good thing is if you do take the plunge, you are close to the best Ford convertion that I know of. Dino Fuel Alternatives: Vegetable Oil Fuel Systems

which helps.

Good luck on your choice of converting. I know its worked for me. but I am lucky enough to not really have an oil issue thus far.

Yeah even in SoCal it's rediculous trying to find a place that isn't already spoken for, or rather that isn't getting PAID to "sell" thier wvo. The vultures are everywhere trying to make a buck! Where were they 3 years ago when no one wanted to take wvo??

even here, off the beaten path, as it were, it's no better.
the price of "waste" veggie oil climbs at the same rate diesel fuel does, and is now, climbed to within $.50 of diesel fuel.

so, when you go to a restaurant to mooch fryer oil, they hand you a card that's got the name of they guy that beat you there and tell you if you want it, you need to outbid him by $.50/gallon, and sign a contract to take it all. And if you miss a week, your contract is considered "broken" and they give it to the next guy that comes in.

That's just it. They WON'T. What you don't buy, somebody else will so even if you storm off with swear words, they can still sell it somewhere else. It's a seller's market. You are living in the past, my friend. It used to be a buyer's market or more accurately, a taker's market. Not any more.

Does it? It makes more room for those that aren't.

I knew this day would come. A little quicker than I thought it would, but I knew it would come.
Not so sure that would be happy to be sitting on a garage full of bio equipement that I cannot find any product for without paying a bundle for.
Law of economics comes into play. How much is my time worth to save a measly $1.00 per gallon to feed the beast? I can earn more money than that in the time it takes to scrounge up a tankful of fuel and then process it.
