Yeah Ken, How do you like them? I was asking about the PSD cause of the added weight on the front end...thats all. I'd love to hear some feedback on the tires. Thanks
I'm running 265 75R 16s MT on my dually. These are my 2nd set, my first set lasted 80,000 miles and the back were given to someone to put on his truck. I do tow a lot and I love them. I don't go offroad much, but they work great in my pastures.
These tires are really nice! I did a review on them at tirerack.com if you want to read that.
The open block design gives great traction at the slight expense of vague turn in feel. Very quiet and look like they would be very good on most terrain with the exception of very severe terrain. Mine are E-rated (of course) and ride very smooth. I run 50psi all the way around on my Excursion.
I'm running the Michelins on my E350 7.3 PSD and my Excursion 7.3 PSD. The Excursion came with BG Goodrich ATF tires which were noisy and the wet pavement adhesion was really poor. I sold them and installed the Michelins and it was like night and day. I'll definitely replace them with the same thing when these wear out.
I ran the Michelins on my previous Suburbans and had good luck with them and got about 70,000 to 85,000 out of a set of them. This was rotating and balancing them about every 5k miles.
I have them in 285/75-16, love them, would not trade them for any other tire. Excellent wet traction with zero hydroplaning, great snow traction, quiet on the highway, nice ride. I run them at about 60 lbs, and got 18.6mpg at 65 mph on a recent 400-mile trip.
I have always had good luck with Michelins. I have them on my truck now and they continue to wear great. Good off road also. Very quiet on the highway and extremely
smooth ride.
Kel--yer runnin 60 psi and getting that mileage?--i wunder what ya would get if ya upped it?
It's either 60 or 65, I don't remember which. Do you think that's too low? They are E rated tires. I think the max shown on the sidewall is 80 psi. I rarely carry a load.
