New to the Boards
Hi Guys my name is Jeff. I just bought an 06 amarillo edition with the diesel. I'm a little concerened about all the problems I keep hearing about these engines. I previously owned a V-10 and had 0 problems.

Welcome to FTE. I think you've got to have 25 posts before it will let you post a picture. The 6.0's had some issues when they came out in 03 & some of the 04 models. There are a few weak points if you plan on adding a chip or tuner to the truck, but this place will keep you informed of what to watch out for, or if you need to change something first.
If you leave it stock I don't think you'll have any issues. I've got some 06's & 07's at work that have been good trucks. We do have a section that deals specifically with your model truck with the 6.0 located a little farther down the forum. Here's a link to it.

Welcome to FTE Jeff. Beautiful truck. There's a wealth of information here at FTE and a lot of knowledgeable posters. I'd recommend spending some time looking through the posts. This site has helped me along the way and I've learned a ton over the years. Enjoy your new ride. And remember

Is the Dash different in the Amarillo? Cant say I have seen another 06 to compare it with!
