Changing a Water Pump?
I'm about to attempt to change the water pump on a 91 Ranger with a 3.0L. Is this something that I could reasonably accomplish? I would say that I have average mechanical abilities. I change my own oil and stuff like that. Also, is there anything else I should know before I start?

Well, remove fan and belts first (fan thread is left), drain coolant, then with 10 mm socket and wretched unscrew pump, clean sufaces, put new gasket (U can use RTV), install pump (look for torq. spec, on Autozone.com). later fill system with water, check for leaks, draine water, fill with coolant, install belts and fan, drive'n'joy!
