ezwire Alternator hookup

I am doing the Ezwire big fuseblock harness on my 55. everything is fine so far, except the alternator wiring..

I have 2 wires, and don't know which goes where..

Alternator Excite
Alternator Power.

This is a Mustang 160amp alternator (take what you can get when you want chrome)..

I have a 4ga lead from the alternator output to the starter solenoid(blk/orange in the pic)
and a 4ga lead from the starter to the battery. (red)
and the 10ga lead from the solenoid to the harness called Solenoid Power.
(these 3 connected together, the 10ga has a fusable link in it, Yellow in the pic)

During test mockup 2 years ago, I connected a +12v lead to the 'excite' lead on the alternator, and voila it charged, so I assume harness Excite goes to alternator Excite. (green/red)

but where does Alt Power go? is that for an Amp Meter? I will be running Volt meter instead. The wiring diagram seems to indicate that should go to the alternator output as well.. and tied into the other pin on the plug at the alternator (yellow/white in the attached)

I talked to Ezwire the other day, and they told me that Alt-Power is the same as the Yellow/White wire in the diagram above.

Alt-Excite is the same as the Red/Lt Green.

This matches the GM Late alternator diagram.

Don't ask me how I know but the Alt-Excite wire is pretty important to get right.

Ford alternator should be the heavy wire goes to the Bat post and the smaller one goes to the field post. You can put a wire on the stator conector to the electric choke if you want. It will only be hot with the motor running. The stator in normally for an idot light.

thank, but I'm not alternator term trained. there are 4 wires to connect according to the diagram above..

output to the battery/starter. I'm running 4 gauge here
two wires from the harness.. (blk/orange above)

alt excite (which tells it to charge).. I had a temp wire here from the temp ignition switch, (lt grn/red above)

and this other wire, 'power' which doesn't tell me anything. (yellow/white above)
EZWire says it connects to BOTH the output and this other terminal.

and the short white/blk wire that loops back to the other connector.

this is internally regulated..
