Picture game for today boys and girls.
Just posted some pics in my gallery.
Can not find any reference to it in my service manual.
Oil bypass ? What plugs into it ? The bolt you see in pic was used as a plug.
Is something missing?

Could be something to do with an aftermarket top oiler that many ppl installed on these engines.
The top oiler was removed for some reason, prolly because the steel line developed a leak.
A bolt was used as a ready made (road side?) fixum.

I have seen that before I cant remember if it was a 215 or 223 I know it was in a 58
F350. The right side of the tubing goes into the camshaft and the left goes up a
galley to the rocker arms and the bolt is where the oil sender goes. I saw that on 216
Chevs and Straight 8 Buicks. Myself I think its better than the way Y blocks did it which
usually plugged up starving upstairs. External oil supply can be blown out with air gun.
