I am curious to know if Ford made a 1994-1996 F150 with a 9in posi rearend that had gears that could be replaced in a 1995 F150 with a 9in Limted Slip. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No 9 inch in those years. Last year for the 9 was '85 or '86.

"Posi", the shortened term for GM's "Positraction", was a limited slip diff used in GM vehicles.

Ford used "Equalok" and later just plain "limited slip". The designs are similar, but some have distinct differences, such as spring loaded ramps vs. clutches.

So you have a 1995 F150 with a limited slip axle and you want to change gears, is that what you are asking?

That would probably be an 8.8 inch Ford axle, and you can get gears at a number of places:

Currie Enterprises Racing Rear End Categories

This is just one, they show prices and labor for set up so you can get an idea.

FORGET going to the scrappy and getting used gears. If you are going to regear, use new gears and bearings.

What ratio do you have now? Tire size? What ratio do you want? What engine & trans? Tow? 4x4? Haul? City? Highway?

On this era of trucks, I believe Ford's name for their LS rear ends was "Trac-Lok".
