on a I bought a set of tires last year from a fellow board member. My wife kept nagging me about wide white walls, she wants wide white wall on the panel. To humor her I painted the sidewalls so to make her happy and to see how I would like them before actually going out and spending a fortune on a set of them. I thought they don't look too bad.
These are what I was running until tonight:
At first I didn't think I'd like the WWWs but after seeing the panel with them on I kind of like it. Now to see how it will drive with the stock tires.
BTW, these are stock rims with tubeless tires mounted on them. I will have to see how they hold up.
While no fan of the wide whites, I'd say your truck is infinately cooler with them than without. The tires suit your truck just fine.
Jersey boys growing up in the 60's would tell you the wide whites were not cool... narrow whites were cool. The panel now has some high contrast that balances well with those tires.
I'd love to have WWW's on Pegysu! I think they look GREAT Bob!!!!!! BTW can you do a little photoshop on mine and give me a "cheap" set? Eventually I want to go to 18" wheels on mine with WWW's cause right now I have a BIG sidewall. I have 30" tires on the rear with 15" wheels so I have 7 1/2" sidewalls.
looks good . I thought about them for my stock 60 flareside, but I think it would look better if it was lowered and thats not going to happen. Nice panel by the way.
Hey Bob, I have been waiting to see what you was going to do with those wheels and tire's. My boy will like to see the wheels and tire's he helped me take off our old truck. I think it looks good on the panel. I hope you get alot of good use out of them. You did a good job putting the white wall on there to.
It's taken me a while to get the wheels on the truck, I had a few other things to iron out on the truck before I could put them on. I am pleasantly surprised on how well they work. The tires on the truck were 15" radials, from what I have read I thought putting the bias ply on would give me a harsher ride and harder steering. In fact the ride didn't seem to change and the steering at a stop has gotten noticeably easier. I haven't noticed any grabbing or wild steering as I drive down the road like many other complain about. I haven't driven it much since switching wheels but everything seems to be working great. Thanks again for selling me the wheels.
Bob, I'm glad to see yougetting some use out of them. They look Great on your truck. I showed my wife and my dad the pics of your panel and they thought your truck plus the wheels looked good. I love the pics so keep us posted.
