What engine is in ....
Was looking at getting one of these trucks around the detroit area. Its the same one in the link except it has 70,000 miles. What (diesel)engine is in it? Good engine or avoid? Any help would be great. Thanks guys

6.2 liter diesel. The Air Force bought alot of them and they are actually a fine motor.
They don't have a turbo and don't have any zip when driving; but they seem to last forever. I have one in a Blazer that I use as a plow truck in the winter; and it serves me well.
Not fun to drive because it has NO *****, its ugly, and there is not radio. But it serves me well. I havn't changed its oil in 3 years.
The Alyeaska Service company ran thousands of Chevys with the 6.2 and they worked good. generally going about 300,000 miles before quiting with regular maintenance.
