Question Please help, no brake lights!

I have a 2004 F450 dump truck and the brake lights don't work. The wierd thing is that the turn signals, hazards, and running lights are all fine. I checked all the fuses, replaced the flasher, and the switch with the wiring plug on the brake pedal itself (I just swapped them with another truck I have, and they worked fine in that truck). I can't locate anything in the maual about a brake relay, but it seems that would be the problem, right? Any suggestions, please help, I need this truck for work, and have had to drive it a couple times without brake lights, I really don't want to bring it in to the dealer. Thanks.

I would check the simple things first, most of which you have already done. Start checking the wiring, brake lights first and work forward going done the harness. With it being a work/dump, no telling what kind of wear and tear the back end has see. Sounds to me it might also be a bad ground some where near the brake switch, since you said the switch worked in other truck.

Can you hear the switch clicking when you press it? I had a problem with my switch just not engaging. I spun it around as a quick fix and have yet to revisit the issue. Not really sure what actually happened but you can check that.
