A good, smooth running, low power, long life engine.

Do you still have a bell housing? Accessories?

I'd see about a 370 or 429--different series, but much better power--if I didn't have any bell or accessories.

If everything is hanging there, I'd look around for another 330 or other FT.

In addition to the 330 FT engine, I think there were 361 & 391 versions. Different crankshafts--larger diameter nose, and perhaps different pilot bearing holes.

Is the bellhousing and motor mounts still in the truck?

If so, almost any FE will bolt up, given (like 85e150six4mtod already said) the pilot bushing is correct.

If you have the timing cover from the 330, you could (probably) use that on any FE - the trick is the motor mounts are on the timing cover.
