update:

actually no update. i have tried calling a few other testing labs and its like they can't comprehend what i am asking them to test. i am still trying but its not a fun process.

 

Try Heritage Environmental. They do "unknown" sample analysis for the company I work for to determine whether or not a sample of an unknown liquid is a hazardous material. Couldn't hurt to give them a call...

You might also try your states landgrant university's chemistry dept. I've had good luck working with the University of Oregon.

Just to be nosey - what does a barrel of expired oil cost?

 

it cost $1.90 a gallon including a plastic 55 gallon drum and its a minimum of 1 pallet per order (pallet fits 4 drums). i bought this oil a while ago so i'm sure the price has gone up.
