Paint codes

Does anyone know the correct paint codes for the Rangoon Red and Wimbledon White paint? I am taking my truck to the paint shop and I want to make sure they use the correct paint. My painter will be using Sherwin-Williams basecoat/clearcoat. Thanks!

Welcome to FTE

The PAINT codes for your truck are listed on the Warranty Plate, which is located on the left door face below the latch.

J = Rangoon Red / M = Wimbledon White.

Thanks NumberDummy, I know the factory codes. I happen to have the original window sticker. I wanted the aftermarket codes from Sherwin Williams that would match my factory paint. Would the Sherwin Williams dealer be able to do any kind of cross reference? Thanks again.

I do know that Automotive Paint supply stores, where body shops buy their materials (paint/bondo/tape etc.) can match Ford paint codes.

Ask a local body shop where they buy their supplies, or check the Yellow Pages.

Don't know anything about Sherwin-Williams, I thought they only sold house paint.

WEMII:

Sherwin Williams Automotive paint is Martin Senour which is sold by NAPA. The Martin Senour number for M (Wimbledon White) = 1528. The number for Rangoon Red = 1435. If you take these numbers to NAPA they should be able to fix you up. You will need to tell them what quality of paint you want. They have an inexpesive brand called Crossfire which they can mix the base coat for you and a premium, more expensive brand called Tec Base which they can also mix your base coat. There are also a lot of different qualities of clear coats out there so make sure someone explains the difference in qualities. That is a good color combo and looks great on these style of pickups!
