I found a good deal on a Eclipse cd player at my local car audio store. I like all of the features it has, but I have never heard of Eclipse. Does anyone out there have any opinions/experience with Eclipse? Thanks in advance.
Cool, I think I will go for it. Of course the guys at the store said it was a great cd player, but it is their job to sell them. The reason why I asked is Crutchfield doesn't sell them so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a generic brand.
crutchfield is a great source of info, but they dont stock all kinds of good eqipment. what they usually stock is what people know like sony, kicker, mtx, etc...eclipse is a good brand, right up there with alpine n all. good luck with ur system.
eclipse is what i run, in my opinion the best equipment out there. the head units are very dependable and clean, carries awesome sound. go for it you will be very happy, cant get better than eclipse.
Thanks for all the input! I went ahead and purchased the
Eclipse CD3421 head unit and love it so far. I was worried about it skipping because my Bronco rides like a tank, but I put it through the tests and no skips. It also came with a remote, talk about lazy! The radio is like 2 feet away, but I like it Thanks again!
I used to have a GASP! Nissan 4x4 Truck and I put an Eclipse in there, no matter what I drove over that Eclipse would not skip, and that Nissan was bucky. I used to demonstrate to my friends by banging my fist on the dash next to the radio to show it wouldn't skip. Doesn't seem to mind heavily scratched discs either.
