I drive my 99 v-10 to work everyday (its my work truck) my wife drives a 95 jeep grand Cherokee, I',m not sure which gets worse mpg. and I have 92 Chevy PU with about 174000 on it.
My daily commuter vehicle is 06 Ranger XL 2.3 standard trans. Average 30 mpg and lots of fun to drive. On a longer all highway trip I can get as high as 36 mpg if I'm careful. The F350 V10 is my weekend machine. I plan on keeping the F350 a long time so driving the Ranger helps to keep the miles down.
DD is a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP supercharged. Black on black leather, black rims, blacked out lights. I really love my car! It is best of two worlds, I get 26 town and 30 hwy mpg and it runs high 12's in the quarter!!!! I'd drive it anywhere and still smoke 85% of cars on the road... Of course it isn't stock, cam, built trans, stall, p&p charger, intercooler, headers, smaller pulley, pcm. All of this has only effected the car about 3mpg. When it was stock I got 32 driving it home but mods started immedately
Wife drives a Trail Blazer with the I6, gets about 25 on the highway. It is the grocery hauler though because if you hook ANYHING behind it fuel mileage goes through the floor!!
I drive my husbands '04 Dodge with the Cummins diesel to commute, it gets 25 mpg (the same as my sister's toyota) as compared with my V10's 9 (ouch) but I enjoy driving mine more. He has a work truck. I also have an '84 CJ-7 that we use to pre-run race courses, mud bog race and generally fool around the desert in.
I failed to mention that we also have a '05 Wrangler Rubicon that the wife drives. I just sold a '68 Plymouth Roadrunner about a year ago and working on getting another one as soon as I can since we just bought a house and haven't moved in yet.
Besides the V10 Excursion, I drive a 2002 Supercrew with 4.6, 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII, Cobra replica with a 351 Cleveland, and 1963 Galaxie with a 521. The Mark VIII is the cheapest to drive at 23 mpg.
