possible fuel problem
Just bought a 1991 e350 7.5 EFI with 67,000 miles in great condition. The van was running great until a couple of days ago.
The van starts great and idles fine. when I first take off the van runs like it always does . Five minutes into the ride there's a strange noise like air sputtering and the engine loses power. It still moving forward and if I manipulate the throttle it continues to move foward with trouble. If I step on the gas I hear like a low hum sound and the van barely moves.
The van never stops and idles fine when this is going on.
Today sitting at a stop sign I heard a kind of clank and the motor was like new again. I took off and there was full power.
This engine runs strong when working correctly .
