My new emblems...what do you think!?!?!
Well got some new bling for the Ex and just installed it.
I struggled with placement a bit and obviously ended with centered and tight to the Excursion fender emblem.
Got them off of ebay for $33.50 shipped to the door for two.

Besides X-Hemi's are more colorful. Would be nice if they were a bit bigger tho, (JMHO)

The seller I bought mine from has one other V10 style...it has gold in the design...I have NO GOLD on my truck...plus I like the red/white and blue...the red really matches my red truck...

Hey Joe... there's nothing like adding on OEM looking stuff!!! I've never seen those on a Ford before... kinda like the OEM NASCAR emblems on my X... Different.
Okay bigboy, here's my critique/opinion... take it for what it's worth (ask my wife and she'll say it's worth nothing)
* I love the colors.
* There's nothing like an OEM look to spice up your ride.
* With the way the EXCURSION emblem is slanted, I like the 1st design V10 fender emblem... a better match than the "stacked V10" 2nd design. Along that same line... I think a bit of separation and a forward placement to work off the wheel & fender flair might look more appealing... I know I struggled and went a bit crazy before I settled on where to place the NASCAR OEM Ford emblems on my X. (OCD for sure!!

i got these v10 emblems from ford several years ago. they are indeed a factory part. they are also chrome plastic. which just happen to be the same material that almost every other emblem is made out of. they are placed just like the super duty trucks are.

Man I struggled...finally called in the chief consultant and asked HER advice...
later...she thought high/tight and centered.
I was originally going to use a 3/4" piece of tape as the gap mask and I tried to play off the fender flair/slant that is just to the front of the emblem on the drivers side and rear of the emblem on the passengers side (mirrored obviously)...
In the end...you see what we settled on.
But I DID struggle with the placement decision...I think any of the options would have looked okay...
The V10 logo on the front fender...I really like that. The new 3Valve V10 emblem is a Triton on top with the V and 10 overlayed below the Triton words...
I actually looked at the ones Va linked to...but I wanted some color and couldn't be happier...
Interesting that the OEM's from Ed (FTE/Parts Guy) could be had for LESS than the Ebay seller? ... so anyone looking for those...may just want to check with Ed first!!!
