i have a jensen mp 3510..cant remember xact number, 2 pioneer 3-way 6.5" speakers in tha doors, pioneer 2-way 6x8"s in tha rear cab corners and a jensen 400W 4ch amp bridged to 2 12" pioneer TS-W33C subs in seperate truck boxes. i am going to get 2 12" infinity reference subs (kappas are just to much $$$) and eitha a rockford fosgate 600.4 or 800.4 amp and bridge it to power me subs.
PS...ne estimate on how many dbs i might hit??? im guessing a measly 125 ish.
I have got the stock HU right now. Saving for an in dash DVD!! Rest of system is 2 10' Image Dynamics IDQ subs, 4 Infinity Kappa 5x7's with US Acoustics amps, 140x2 to the front and 300x1 to the subs. All of this is in my new F250 Crew Cab, XLT, 4x4, V10. It rocks my truck pretty good!!! I installed it all myself! I should have pics up in my gallery in a week or two.
Pioneer priemer deh-p900r deck, Kicker zr1000 amp, Kicker zx460 amp, Eclipse 88100ti sub, AVI midbass, AVI tweeters, Rockford Fosgate PA2 crossover, 2PG 1farad caps, 5x7 pioneer 3 way speakers, and lots of time setting it all up!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Jun-02 AT 12:28 PM (EST)]In my 2001 Navigator I have the Pioneer Premier 840mp deck, Pioneer XM Tuner, Infinity Kappa 572.3 in rear doors, Infinity Kappa 572.5 in fronts, 2 Kicker S12L7 Solobaric Subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Digital Cap, American Accessories 2 Farad Digital Cap, Rockford Fosgate Power 1500bd amp and a Rockford Fosgate Power 750X amp.
hey all.....i have very little invested in my system, ok in the doors i have 2 pioneer 2 way 5 1/4's free from junk yard, yea free and they work good, hu is cheap road gear cd player, got from friend 10 bucks removable face, amp is one of those new jensen jxp deals, the 340 watter, claims 60x2 rms 4 ohms, $100 new at sears pushing 2 mtx blue thunder 10's, the old ones, free from friend, medium ported box great bass, rear fill is just 2 ford 6 1/2's free from junkyard. so i got what, around $120 with some wire and connectors etc. this all sounds like its a bunch of crap i know, but lemme tell ya, for an 83 beater, and a 16 year old w/no income this ***** bumps and sounds good! those jensen amps are pretty cool too, and good for the money. i hope to get pics soon tho........laterz for now
I got this in my 94 Bronco:
Kenwood AM/FM/CD player
1 Rockford Fosgate 2 channel amp for subs (wired mono)
1 Kenwood amp 4 channel for highs
Boston Acoustic components in the front doors
Cerwin Vega 3 ways in the rear seat area
2 JL Audio 12W3 in the cargo area
Clifford alarm system
Looking to add a changer or perhaps an XM tuner in the future.
Pioneer DEH-445 head unit
MTX 4300x (37.5x4 at 4 ohms)
Infinity Reference 6.5" components front
Rockford Fosgate 6"x9"'s back
JL Audio 10W3 4 ohm subs in a Bandpass box each sub is driven by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 360.2.
Extremly Clean sound have highpass on the 6.5's at about 90hz and high-pass on 6x9's at 60hz, then the low pass on the subs is set about 90hz. Sound like a rock concert inside only with no distortion and it can sound like a boom car coming down the road if you turn up the remote Punch Bass controls.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Jul-02 AT 11:15 PM (EST)]On the '95 I have a Pioneer DEH-P4400 with 3 way Pioneers all around, 6.5's in the doors and 6x8's in the rear. The '86 is similar- Pioneer DEH-2100, (I've been working on a skipping problem, I think I need to clean it somehow) 3 way 6.5" Pioneers in the doors and 3 way 6x9's behind the seat. Somehow this seems to be the better sounding system, maybe it's the rear speakers in boxes instead the corner of the cab? With all that, I'm not Pioneer "brand loyal", it's just what I found to be good quality and fit my budget.
I just bought a couple 8" subs on ebay, now I'm looking for an amp.
Plain old Kenwood head unit...Pioneer 6.5" in front and Pioneer 6x8 in back. Just picked up a Kenwood 600W (max power) amp (KAC729S) to power an MTX Audio (MTX T410X3A) tri-sub hatchback enclosure (3 10" Thunder4000 12-ohm subs) and I just got back today from looking at 6 to 10 disc changers.
*****UPDATE***** i have just recived a brand new infinity perfect 12" sub i bought off e-bay (300 retail, paid 150+ shi) and im workin on a rockford fosgate power 550s 2 channel amp (bridged). heres good FYI for all u regualat cab owners running 2 or more 12"s, go with one 12" it will sound so much better and if u have tha money get a good quality sub. also im going to get a rockford fosgate amp for my door and cab-corner speakers (dont knoe which kind yet, off e-bay tho of course)
I'm running a JVC cd player, stock front speakers, pioneer 6x8 rear speakers, 2 10" boston accoustics subs (850 watts RMS each!), and a weak Kenwood KAC 819 amp. It's strong enough for 1 sub, but eventually i'm going to swap it out for a bigger one. Those subs need a lot more power then that! I could give em 1700 watts haha. Both are sitting in custom made boxes behind the driver and passanger seats. Check out my gallery I just put a picture in there. I have it set up so that I can quickly move them if I have to put people in the truck, which I hardly ever do. And if I have to move the seat back more, I have it set up where I can just ptu the sub on the rear seat because the wires are long enough. This is probably one of the best sounding systems you could ever put together for the price i paid.
Since the subs are right next to you, you get excellent sound. I got the subs and the deck from my best friend used for about 4 months. The amp I got brand new off ebay. The speakers I bought at best buy.
