Hello everyone. Just found this site. It is great!
Need some help with putting in a subwoofer box in my 2002 extended cab F150. I would like to put one 10 inch subwoofer in a sealed box under the seats in the cab portion. My questions are:
1.) Are there any plans for building a custom box that fits under either section back there? The sub needs approx .65 cubic feet to work.
2.)Are people generally happy with their subbox.net boxes or aree there any reasonable custom-alternatives out there?
3.) I don't need huge spl. Just want quality sound. Will I be wanting more than just one driver? Someone with experience could persuade me to get a dual box for 2 tens. Any thoughts?
I also am looking for a set up for dual 10 " i run a image dynamics dvc with majestic amps running 200 for the subs and 160 for my mids and highs i'm also thinking bout putting a 10 in the center console by taking out the tray and building a set up inside the middle . any opinions ? I do want a dual set up for the rear underseat to sound good and if anyone has a box set up like could ya please post some dimensions . i'll post pics and the process it took in building it if only some one gets dimensions .
well i started measuring and drawing up a template and i believe i have the dimensions set i'll be cutting tomorrow and assembling over the weekend so far i've got the bottom sides and top drawn out on my wood and now working on the front and back and wiring diagram for assy .
i persoanlly do not like pre-fab boxes, they are very poor quality, or at least the ones i had were. i would venture out and attempt to make ur own. as for ur sound quaility goes, i have one 12" infinity perfect and IMO it has untouchable sound quality for its size and sounds terrific in a sealed enclouse. i would try the perfect 10.1 10" sub (350RMS/1400W max) and it needs around .6 cubic feet for a sealed box so it should fit. run it off a good, clean amp around 400W rms and it will give u unbelievable sound quality and it gets quite loud when u crank it up. and u wont need to run dual 10"s, it has enough for most people. if ur overtaken by the sticker shock of crutchfield or most net companies i got mine off e-bay brand new in the box w/ full factory warrenty. if u have any questions on box buildin feel free to drop me an IM on AIM/AOL or email @ shotgun18(No Email Addresses In Posts!)
