7.3 powerstroke coilover conversion

Has anybody converted the front leaf spring superduty to a 2005 coilover front suspension?? looking to convert over to a coilover setup on my 2001 f350 4x4 crewcab to improve ride?? Thanks.

I installed a coilover on an 05. when looking for parts i noticed Fabtech has a nice setup for your rig. Look em up. I love my coilover setup 8 inch and i use them all.

did u use stock coilover from 05 and up superduty or custom kit? pics??

If you looked to use the 05 style, youd also need the axle, because the housings are different, and different widths. Otherwise I suppose you could fab up brackets to use the oem 05 style suspension. No I havent done it, just some things you may want to look into.

FabTech makes a kit to convert to a coilover suspension, but it is only available with a 6" lift

I think the coilover swap would be cool, I just don't want to lift my truck

The Full Traction Coilover conversion is a much better product that the Fabtech coilover conversion in terms of superior suspension geometry and construction.

Also available in a 6" lift.

If you are looking for stock height, yes you can swap out the suspension and axles to those of a 05+ truck. You'll get the benefit of the larger brakes, larger unit bearings, better turning of the newer axle.
