Running Board Question

Did they make two different styles of running boards for the 48 F1? The reason I ask is because I bought some used running boards off of ebay last year, and went to take my current ones off and realized they are dramatically different. The ones I have on now have two long trapezoid shaped pans that bolt directly to the frame. The ones I bought dont have those..they just have a lip on them that looks like the should be hung on something. The aftermarkert repo fiberglass ones they sell look the same as the used ones I bought. Anyone know what's going on?

The 48-50 style have the lip that goes up to the frame, the 51-52 don't. I think they are otherwise the same. As far as I know the repro's (glass and steel) are all 51-52 style.
