I am converting a 48 f1 to a street rod. It has a camaro front clip a 9 in rear end and a 351 engine. I recently found a GM steering column and power steering pump at a local junkyard. My plan was to modify the gm power steering pump to work with other (Ford) belt driven parts
But, the bracket from the gm was made to hold both the p/s pump and the alternator ; difficult to modify. So I go with plan 2 : install a ford power steering pump with a gm hose connecting to the steering column
I had the hose made at a local shop using the connecting ends off the gm p/s pump
It will be some time before I finish the engine and test the steering Question any problem using a gm hose on a ford pa/s pump?
