200 miles past warranty and the first time I put the AC on it doesn't work. Murphy's law? you betcha. I bought the V8 05 explorer last year and have had no problems to date.
I would rather get some help first before I take it down to the stealership. Although not mechanically well versed I understand that low AC fluids or blown fuses might be a good start but I don't have the manual so have no idea where I might find either to check.
The fan is blowing outside temp air. The AC light comes on but nothing appears to happen. I honestly don't know whether the AC clutch is engaging or not - I'm not even sure where it is.
I recently paid 190$ to have my system diagnosed, evacuated, recharged, etc. at the dealer. I never got a clear answer as to why I had no cold air, but no leaks were found and it has worked fine for several weeks now, so I am happy enough. So, unless you have a "problem" that is about the cost you are facing.
