OK so I have a 1995 f-150 2wd 4.9 L6. Someone tried stealing it by drilling the ignition lock, they went to far and drilled into the part that supports the lock gear. Got the old lock out, but new one won't stay put do to collum damage from the drill. So screw it im just going to a push button ignition on it. My questions are these:
If I just push the plastic actuator rod in will it stay (so i can drive it without locking the wheel)?
And does anybody know what wires on the ignition switch do what so I can wire my kill switch and push button?
any help anybody could give my on this would be most appreciative.
(p.s. I've spent days online trying to find wiring diagrams and no luck unless I want to spend $30+. Im on a budget and buttons are cheap).
Ok so lock cylinder is out. I've disabled the collum lock so the wheel wont lock while driving, no luck with wiring though. Anybody know how to hot wire this thing? All I need to know is which wires do what so I can wire in the switches. Still no luck finding anything useful on the web.
