Keep Alive Memory question

I'm getting ready to take my truck in to the dealer. I have had the stock tune loaded for about 1000 miles, and I just did the battery disconnect trick (twice) but it still has the P0603 KAM code. The DTC's were cleared when I returned the truck to stock. There are currently codes on there that I want the tech to see to troubleshoot the problem I'm having, so I don't want to clear the codes again. Are they going to start asking me about tuners because of the KAM code?

who cares if they do...you won't be lying when you say you unhooked your batteries.

So, that code is an indication of batteries being disconnected also? Well, if that's the case, then it makes sense that I still have that code.

I would just play dumb. tell them you got that code and unhooked the batteries hoping that would clear the code but it hasn't.

doubledee, how do you like your innovative tunes? I currently have a flashpaq, but would like to change to an sct. I have been scared off by posts that I have read about firmware problems and problems getting tunes and support from spartan. Innovative may be the way to go.

I like my innovative tunes a lot. I had an issue with my xtreme street and eric sent 3 files before I found the one my truck and I like. We're currently working out some bugs in an econo tune....and he sent an updated xtreme race just because. lol I wouldn't be scared off about firmware problems and spartan seems VERY busy, for a good reason of course. Innovative, Dj, gogodiesel, and Elite are the people I would recommend.

Give Innovative a try, He has been extremely responsive to my questions and issues and I highly recommend them. I had a Flashpaq and couldn't have been more disappointed...
