My '06 cc fx4 5.4 automatic keeps blowing fuse No. 33 "Shift solenoid, CMS #12 and #22, Ignition coils" - according to the manual.
It's happened twice so far, but we've only driven the truck less than 100 miles since we've had it - yeah, gas is EXPENSIVE.
Once the fuse goes, the truck cranks, but it won't actually start.First time, it took me a while to figure out it was that fuse.
Being that I am not a mechanic, anyone have any idea what that("Shift solenoid, CMS #12 and #22, Ignition coils") is?What/where should I look/check?
Oh, yeah, fresh out of warranty
Thank you in advance for any help that can be provided!!
The cms is the o2 sensors, bank 1 sensor 2, bank 2 sensor 2 Have seen the wiring harness chaffed where it comes around the a/c line on the passenger side near the firewall
Short to ground...Find the exposed wire, and tape it off. Or, cut the wire, splice it, solder it, and use some shrink tube....I'd tape it off and see what happens in the future.
