hello has anyone put in the rancho 4" in thier screw? how does it ride?, and etc i want a fabtech kit but dont really want to go 6" higher i have 2 small kids (4 1/2 and 7 months) that need to get in and a short wife 5 foot **** all, is rancho a comparable to fabtech?
I know that there are people here that stay away from Fabtech parts. I know that Rancho has been a leader in design, innovation and quality of parts and suspension systems.
Rancho has been around for at least 25 years or so (or more) with Fabtech for at least half of those years.
A four inch kit for any truck is a comfortable altitude adjustment, especially if the truck is a DD (daily driver).
The bottom line is, it is your call.
I think your question should be - How does Fabtech compare to Rancho.
I prefer Rancho Suspension myself, but that's just my opinion.
Ford Truck Enthusiasts User Gallery I can't compare as I've never had a lifted truck before. I like this one though, ride and handling is great. Go to my gallery for pix. Every time I try to post pix I do something different.
Just so you know you can get 35's on with a 4" lift. Mine would have needed plastic on bottom of front bumper trimmed at a minimum. Not sure if there is any other rubbing though. I thought the 35's looked a bit overpowering for this lift. JMO.
if you want to lift it 4", then just go ahead and do the 6"..... you will be happier in the end, and it will save you money since you will just get to that point anyhow. do you have step bars on your truck? they really help a lot. my wife could get into my truck just fine using the steps even when she was 9 months pregnant.
just my .02, i think you would be happier doing a 6".
thanks everyone, i wanna go with approx 4 inch and 35's just like the way it sits tylus, how about some pics with yours with 35's, here some random truck with a rancho lift and 325-65r18 on stock rims

I went with the 4" Rancho and put 35" Mickey Thompson ATZ's on it. I actually went the other way from most people.. I started off by almost getting the 8" Rize with 37's, then I was set on getting the 6" RCD or Fabtech, then dropped again to the 4" Rancho and I'm so glad I did. I also went with the Rancho was because it said I could use the stock wheels, I like the stock wheels and wanted to keep them because they are low maintenance.
This is my first post and I haven't created a gallery yet, but I have a personal webpage with a bunch of pics on it from when I installed it. It was pretty easy to install and I think it is a very solid lift kit. I like how the Rancho kit has a subframe... here's the link. 06 F150 Suspension

You sure that is a 4" lift...looks like a 6" or 8" kit.
btw, I only have the OEM 32" tires. I test fit 35x12.5x18 back in October, but decided not to spend the $1200. I know lots of guys on this Forum and F150online run them with 0 issues
I dont have any personal experience with either lift kit but I'd say if you were single go with the 6" lift or 8" cuz girls love lifted trucks
But since your married and dont have to worry bout that the 4" should be great too and rancho's quality has withstood the test of time.
The funniest thing I've read on the back of a truck was actually on a lifted chevy (gag I know) but it read "Lifted because fat chicks can't jump" in big bold letters anyone behind them could read. I about died laughing when I seen that, its wrong I know but still soo funny
