need help
Hi everyone first time poster. I have a 76 f 250 auto I'm trying to find I think its a bolt that connects the gear shift linkage to the transmission. I tried the dealer,junk yard they all tell me good luck. Hope someone help me.

You'll just have to find a way to measure the thread and under-head length and grab a new one from Lowe's, Ace, O'Reilly's etc assuming you are talking about a conventional SAE bolt. I have a tin in the garage full of old bolts that I use to size the threads of a missing bolt. I also have some sizing charts that come in handy as well.
