Carb Adjustments
Hey all, I've got a strong gas smell coming in from my engine bay. I think the mixture is too rich on the carb, the idle is rough, I've turned the idle up as far as I'm willing too, its at about 800 rpms right now. I know where my mixture screws are but how is the best way to do this?
Its a Edelbrock 1405 car if that helps. Its been about 14 years since I've done one so I was hoping for suggestions.

Edelbrock carbs should be really easy to tune out of the box. I've always had success with just tightening the mixture screws in all the way, then each back out 1/4 turn. At that point, the motor will run, and you can tune from there. Hope that helps.
