Rattle in trans

Rattle in trans
95 F250HD. I have a rattle in my trans. I have the E4OD. I only get this rattle when in Park. She also has a hard shift going into Reverse then from first to second gear. My truck was an ex-plow truck. SO what could cause this rattle in the trans?

Can you tell if the noise comes from the tranny, or the torque converter?
Make sure the torque converter to flywheel nuts are tight.
Make sure the bell housing to block bolts are tight, if loose take a real close look at the flywheel near the center around the bolts holding it to the main shaft.
Also check the splash shield and heat shield.

Not exactly sure where the noise is coming from. Although, after to where I got to, I shut if off for awhile and started it back up. Still made noise. Went threw all the gears and it stopped. After i got home. Reversed into the driveway then into Drive and it made a slight clunk noise. I dont have a skid plate near the trans. Truck only has 69K. Has enough fluid in the trans as well.
