I need more power
Heys guys.
My 2001 5.4 exp neds morer power. My buddies with there diesels are putting in bullydog and edge juice chips in and laughing at me. What to do what blower is the best, which exhaust would give it a deep rumble sound and is there a chip or program for this like my diesel buddies.Thanks in advance.Snoozer

The stock 5.4L in our heavy trucks could certainly use some more power. I have installed a Magnaflow cat back and retuned using a 1715 Superchips programmer. Things are much better but for some serious (and expensive) power a supercharger will take care of you issue. I think Kenne Bell make a 5.4L unit probably pushes a moderate 7 to 8 psi which should give about 7% BPH per psi of boost minus what power it takes to spin it. I looked into one last year and I think I was looking at about $5000.00 CND for a system. Still the best power added for the money in my opinion.

First of all - you have to be comfortable with what you have - you obviously bought a gas job for a reason! You'll never approach the power of a diesel unless you supercharge, and even then, you still won't get the fuel economy that they do. But, you can take solice in that you will be quieter, not stink as much, and you can park in the garage. But it is awesome what a programmer can do for a diesel!!
