I have a jensen CD player and I accidentally put my battery in backwards and now it doesnt work. I replaced a fuse inback of it that was melted and pressed the reset button and it still doesnt work. Do you think its blown? I hear jensens suck so i dont care ill probably get a pioneer.
yes jensen sucks, i run a pioneer premier and couldnt ask more from it. its a great head unit period. also look into eclipse as they make great head units as well.
I could add that when I was shopping for a head unit, I compared every higher end one sold at three retail car audio shops. I found that the pioneer premier units were the only ones to have Burr-Brown DACs. Quite possibly the best DAC mass manufactured. If memory serves, its a 20 bit DAC. Just means you'll get the most faithful reproduction of cd's possible, more like analog.
They also had the highest signal to noise quality and a very low noise floor. I tested the DEX-P1R, and found no clipping on a full volume with all 13 eq bands up except the lowest 2, they would only go up +8. If I didn't already have one, I would be scouring ebay looking for one, as if somebody would really sell theirs.
jensen sucks, dont bother took me 3 months to get a faceplate for mine. i went alpine and WILL never turn back. my friends run the lower line pioneers and love em.
