Woohoo! I think it took me 3 years to get to 100.

 

Hope all made it through the night ok, couple towns here lost power and its a mess. Got called out at 3am to help clear roads from debris. Sure is a lot of B/S around here for 4 parts.

 

well i got you beat on that.. i'm on my fourth year now...

 

Hey Darin, glad you made it out of the storms okay. Man, I just took at two hour nap. I haven't felt this good since April, before the outage started (and no, I'm not still at workLOL). Gotta go get supplies for my Dad's 80th birthday tomorrow. You guys have a great evening, and an even better Saturday. I'll catch up with you on Sunday!!

holy hell! u guys are posting it up! i would be in here more often but given the events last night, i was a wee little tired... so pretty much half of platte center is flooded and state p's are everywhere, pretty much only letting residents in b/c there are apparently too many sight seers trying to gawk at a big puddle of water. it's not expected to drain out till sunday, which is convenient because another wave of storm is supposed to hit...i guess...and worst of it is, idk how to swim! i'm so screwed...

 

how's the canal your way?, bet its getting high, use to fish it from PC to tailrace in columbus

 

o the canal is fine...that'll never flood out b/c the amount of water in it is constantly regulated and monitored. it's shell creek that's giving us problems...elm creek running thru platte center flooded out too

 

learned something new today, been years since we fished the canal, dove up around Aurora today, they sure got hammered bad south of town, businesses south to I-80 took some heavy hits

 

ya that's wat i heard, kearney got it bad too tornado wise...only a matter of hours for all hell to break loose here in NE!

 

Well Kenny pretty much gave you the report on the Platte Center area. I'm currently sitting at home here (Chapman) and it feels good. I guess we got about an inch and a half yesterday but the roads weren't bad at all due to the sunshine today. All I need to figure out is if I can get to Platte Center next week or if I'll be getting a hotel room in Columbus!!!!

And WTF is with everyone pickin on the Dodge (Damn Old Dirty Gas Eater sure is correct) when I'm not around?!?!?!?!? Oh well.......

that ain't no kiddin, u should have seen the monistary road on the way home today jake! it looked like the freaking platte river!!!! i haven't been to deven's yet but they got all their cattle moved out today so that's good, and no water in the house either...i also heard that their evacuating parts of Schuyler now too, hopefully it drains out by sunday night so u can get up here w/o driving 20 miles out of the way...or i may have a few back road routes figured out by then...that is, if the dodge isn't scared of getting wet!

 

Does it look like the Dodge is scared of getting wet? Anyway, if it's bad Sunday night I may just get up Monday morning and head down.....I'll let you know for sure though. Just because I can get to Platte Center doesn't mean we can get to work without going all over the place and taking twice as long!!!!
