refrig. problem
Hello guys, My question is, I have a 2006 Cruiser by Crossroads. My refrigerator will only run on propane and not on elect. The breaker is good and the fuses look good also. When I run it in auto it starts trying to light the burner with the tic tic tic sound.
I will call the dealer but they are about 100 miles away. Thought I would work your brains a little first.

Are you talking about the 110 plug inside the outside compartment? You know I unpluged it to check the fuses, but didn't check to make sure the plug had power. I will check that when I get home. The light inside the frig works, but it might be 12v, I don't know.

I don't know. I bought it after the storm Rita and only used it to sleep in. Never cooked or went camping in it. Never used the shower or toilet. I do run everything and keep it plug in. I will look and see the kind when I get home and post the info tomorrow.
I had it unplugged for about 2 months and when I put it back in its spot it started doing this. Works fine with propane. I tried letting it run on propane to get cold then switch to auto. In about 3 mins it turns the check light on. and the tic tic starts. I checked the 3amp and 5amp fuses and they look good. I may change them both and give it another try.

OK, might be getting somewhere here. It is not level. I will do this first and see if that helps. It works on propane, does that make a difference?

Pull the outside cover off the refrigerator and check the 110 volt outlet that it is plugged into to be sure you are getting power there.
Sometimes my gfci breaker at the bathroom outlet trips and also shuts off power to the refrigerator outlet. I just reset it and then it works fine.

Ok guys. It is a Dometic RM 2852 AmericanA. I leveled the trailer and that didn't work. So I checked the plug in back of the frig and I have no power to that plug in. Everything else works, AC, Microwave and all the lights. The breakers are not tripped and all the fuses are good. Where does that plug gets its power?

Check all of your ground fault plugs. You probably have one that has tripped and the reefer also gets its power from the same circuit. My old trave trailer had this happen and that was the cause.

I will look this afternoon. I am thinking the only one would be is in the bath room. I wonder if the frig plug is one. It is kind of hard to see in there, but it would make sense being in a vented area.

These trailers have fuses, GFCI's, breakers, and sometimes fusible links! Seems like they're everywhere.
On my Warrior there's a breaker panel under the oven and when one breaker tripped the reefer and A/C wouldn't work on 110V.
This is a good time to check all the ground connections as well.
