Yes. I have a orange wire in my 95 ranger which i belive is a Dimmer wire for the brightness of the factory radio. My new cd player doesn't have a place to put in the dimmer and i was wondering if it would hurt anything to just tape this wire up and unconnected. I have been told that sometimes if the wire isn't hooked up the dash lights night not work right. IF this is true what do i do with this wire. thanks
Prodigy - have you already cut the factory plugs out of the dash? If not, I would go to the local stereo shop and buy the adapters to wire your new radio to - then plug it into the factory plugs in the dash. Makes for a much easier install, plus if you ever want to go back with the factory radio, you can just unplug your radio and stick the factory back in...
