anti-theft delete mod?

I have a little red light right in the center of that blank "Square" to the right of the dash. The siren is mounted on the drivers side of the engine fire wall.
I have seen photos of other member's engine compartments and have obs the same black square siren.
There was a thread a month or so back where everyone was discovering the fact that they had remote locks on their trucks. Did any of them report an alarm?

so i figured it out.
step 1: remove and unplug the button switch that tells the brain if door is open or closed
step 2: cut away/out any one of the three plugs on the button part of the switch (there is no particular orientation required)
step 3: plug it back in making sure the grey and green wires hit the two remaining plugs on the switch
that's it.
notes... the green wire is 12v constant. power the grey wire and the dome light comes on. powering the red wire is what controls the alarm function as well as the beeper that says "hey- your lights are still on!"
so there you have it... the ANTI-THEFT-DELETE_MOD.

WAIT! don't do it. upon further testing, i learned that now my blinkers and brake lights don't work. i'm guessing this is actually part of the anti-theft system, because the police will certainly take notice! hope i can make it to the parts shop for a new switch before they nab me tomorrow!!!
