Comming to the US soon?

England first then us? Every adult in Britain should be forced to carry 'carbon ration cards', say MPs | Mail Online

With your account number laser imprinted on the back of your neck no doubt....

SHADES!

"And you will do as you are TOLD
Until the rights to YOU are SOLD!"

Funny how there seems to be an echo from a long time ago....

Diesel price: Exorbitant.
Transport costs: Exorbitant.
Price of everything at all..... (?)

It doesn't get to your store by mule train these days
But we have to have those goods....

What happens when no one can afford to do anything?

Is it any wonder that a company that installs lights that use one third the energy is attractive?

Yes, it will be here before too long. Another way to take our freedom without a fight. You will not be able to buy or sell without the card. Then, when cards become obsolete or easily forged, scanner code in the back of the hand or forehead. I think Al Gore is the false prophet.

so a little old man at the end of the year has only enough money to pay to heat his house but not enogh to buy credits will frezze? i see the idea as a good idea but just that an idea. but if you think about it the goverment does this already to some companies, with polution credits, its really the same idea just on a person by person bais right? and i am sure that the people on the comitty have nothing to do with the company that will buy and sell the extra credits...yeah right!

I wonder what the penalty for bootlegging biodiesel would be? The ATF would need to have an "F" added, so to be: Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Fuel...

Identity theft would take on a whole new meaning.

Could somebody please illustrate one thing the government has done well? As a matter of fact, name one problem the government hasn't tried to fix that hasn't gotten worse as a result.

I walk and ride my bike alot. My truck rarely moves. I still have not ran my AC this year even though I am in Ga. At least 90% of my clothes get line dried. I use energy saving bulbs. I do all this not so much to save the world but because I am low on cash flow. I could most certainly make money by selling my excess carbon allowance. Guess what I still hate the idea. This crap will cause small business owners to have to buy carbon credits from frugal individuals to keep running. I bet corporations will get a higher thresh hold but not high enough. The prices of everything will go up for everyone.

Can you imagine how fat the funding would become for a program to FIX the government? (not to mention the national deficit)

-There IS no smiley for that, they don't cry enough

I seriously think the goverment is BROKEN.

Too many of the reps are bought and paid for.

I used to think that was a lot of hype - but how can fuel cost what it does now unless THEY let it be un-interupted and unregulated(price escalation).

Big oil has a lot more money than I do. I bet it's real attractive.

UNTIL YOU GET HOME.

When a Senators son blows himself away because he can't afford to drive to work - maybe things will change.

STUPID BAASTARDS!

THEY were elected to "SERVE THE PEOPLE"....

I have three letters for you:

KMA!!!

OK, I can mail a letter to anywhere in the country for only 42 cents and it will be there in a short time.
The interstate highway system comes to mind.

Don't have our usps ship you any hatching eggs. I think I recall something about many of our interstate bridges being poorly maintained and in bad state of repair as well.
