but i have talked to someone who was blind and they only delt with $1.00 bills. they knew that if someone counted out 50 ones they got $50 but couldnt count of them getting a $50.00 bill. also its called a credit card...
what i want to know is how do the blind people know what to pick off the shelf, is this beer or soda???? you know so if they can get what they want and get it to the register then they should be able to figure out the money, now yes i do agree that the blind do have it harder sometimes so dont get all up on me for not being sempathedic for them. i mean i cant spell worth a darn and i dont complain about it...
What I want to know is why my bank has a braille ATM at the drive up..........
People ask about this all the time, but if you really think about it it makes sense. Do you think blind people walk everywhere? No they ride in cars just like the rest of us. The braille is so a blind person in the back seat of the car can use a drive up ATM just like anyone else, or walk over to it if they are in the passenger seat.

I think I read that Diebold, or whoever makes the ATMs, uses the same faceplate for all the ATMs, regardless of where they are going to be put. Cost effective to only have to make one ATM faceplate.

i vote for this, one tool one stamping line, it would cost way to much to make a ATM without it. and also when a bank orders them they only have to say we need 2 or 3 or what ever and not we need 2 with and 1 with out or what ever...
but if we change the size fo the money it would cost way way to much to change everthing over and for a wile we would have 2 different bills that woudnt work very well it would be a huge mess and woudlnt ever work, companies would go under people would miss count money get into arguments about the bills being different, just a bigger mess then its worth, look if your blind just only use ones and you will be fine also i really want to know how blind people pick items to buy i mean if your blind and cant see a 1 from a 20 then how can you see a box of condoms from a box of gum?

You know, I've never thought to compare not being able to spell to not being able to see...But now that you just did, it makes perfect sense to me. I mean, it's practically the same thing...
