Since the flashers work & they use the same bulbs & wiring, but the blinkers dont, it's about a 90 percent chance that the multifunction/turn signal switch is shot.

I'd test it before replacing it though.

Believe it or not but it can also be the towing harness is bad. Unplug the lasso from the main by the spare tire rack and see what happens. If you need a new one Rural King and maybe some other farm supply stores sell them for around $20.

I had one go bad in mine and it affected the cruise control and signals.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Blinkers

Do you have a tilt wheel? My 98 ranger does and blinkers didn't work. Put the tilt up (I normally have the wheel at the lowest) and blinkers worked.

Yup, I have a tilt wheel! After your explaining that I would figure it is definitely in the column.

If you haven't already got one and can afford one get a manual from Ford, but they're a bit pricey. The next step down is a hayne's manual's which are better than chiltons, but that's still not saying much.

Good luck!
