Tonite I`m off on garage tour of this sale, coming up June 21/my birthday, with the Saskatoon Antique Auto Club tonite, a total of 700 plus vehicles . ANTIQUE AUTO AND TRUCK
Not much in the way of any value there, only a half decent 51 Ford Tudor and a fair 67 M350 dually/6/4 speed. Afew JD and other antique tractors.
Also a half decent 53 M750 semi/fifth wheel/saddle tank, there might be afew more but mostly it`s junk and more junk there.
There were at least 5-6 Pinto`s but you`d be hard pressed to make one out of all of `em. A 60 Ford Starliner caught my eye but the interior was toast.
One fairly interesting vehicle is one like I had, a 51 Tudor. This one looks to be complete and unmolested though it`s getting thin and rusty in places, still I imagine it`ll go high.
There`s at least one 55 F or M100 that looked like at least a good parts truck if not a fixer upper. Tons of 67-72 F100`s as well.
There was lots more (over 700 hundred just in cars alone) but it was getting dark, there was way too much to see in an hour or so.
Sounds like lots of stuff will go for dirt cheap then.
That yard is gonna be full of dealers, scrappers, metal crushers, car clubs. You won't get much for 100 bucks I'm gonna say unless you want a totalled off 75 Pinto.
I been watching the site. The pics are not enough. There are 2 Rancheros going there as a couple of unibodys. A rare 1960 2dr Comet Stationwagon.
Several car clubs are going. I heard from some guys that drag race going for the pintos and vegas that are there. Lots of Vauxhaulls there too.
Some stuff does not look too bad.
I see a lot of cars will be getting stocked piled for demo derby's , because that is all they are good for.
Hey preppy there were 2 Dump trucks from the 50's there. That would be cool to have one of those fixed for you to pull your backhoe with.
But I too saw lots of vehicles that are just going to be donors then scrapped.
Scrap metal guys will not be at an auction that big because the cars tend to go for nore than they will get for the scrap metal.
There is a group of guys coming from Red Deer for this to buy some vehicles to haul back.
I won't be there. I like too, but enough on my plate and it will just torture me tonot get some of those vehicles.
Preppy just have a look at the old dump trucks. One is a 53 and the other a 57. The site is called antiqueautoandtruck.com There you can look at all the pics they have taken. A lot of pics are not that great and yes a lot of the vehicles are good as donors. They have some late 60's dodge darts 2drs. No real muscle cars. I just find it interesting to look at them.
