It kills the battery if is sits for more than a few days. It has a brand new battery and the problem only started recently.
My main question is about the LED bar of lights on the center of the dash. Does anyone know the significants of them and/or there meaning. There is typically one of them on when the car is off but now there are 2 of them on.
Here's how to start tracking down battery leaks. Take off your negative battery cable and attach an ammeter between the battery terminal and the cable. If your battery is being drained, you should see an amperage draw, perhaps more than about 0.1A. Whatever it is, write it down. Now, find your fuse panel and start pulling fuses one by one. After each one, check the ammeter to see if the amperage dropped. Whichever circuit causes the biggest drop in amp draw--that's your likely culprit, and that's where you start looking.
Very good advice from jroehl. Also check the alternator for a drain. A freind of mine had a similar problem with an early `90s BMW which turned out to be a small cooling for one of the switches on the dash running after the ign was switched off. Don`t know about the lights on the dash.
