Replacing power steering pump
One pressure line, whch you need to watch the O ring that is installed on the end of the fitting.
One return line which hoks to a plastic fitting on the PS pump resevoir.
Three mounting bolts if I remember right.
Keep as much dirt out of the lines as possible, washing the area around the pump at the car wash before you start is a good thing.
You will loose about a quart of fluid when you remove the lines, be prepared.
If you remove the mounting bolts first, there should be enough slack in the lines that you can get to the line fittings better.
The only hard part is getting to the pump, worse on a 4x4.
After the new pump is on, fill to the full line, then drive around the block twice making sure you turn the wheel as sharp as they will turn at least twice to each side.
That is to help get all the air out of the system.
Check and add fluid as required after the drive.

when I replaced the p/s pump on my '91 i had to remove the p;ulley. by all means get a pulley puller and don't try to pry it off. you'll bend the pulley and have to replace it. same goes for installing pulley. there's a pulley removal/installation tool for about $25 that i got at CarQuest that worked really well. very much worth the money and time.

Depending on the year or what pressure fitting you have in your pump, there won't be an o'ring on the fitting. So if you don't see one don't panic. Look at the end of the line. If the end of the line looks, kinda, like a bubble flare brake line then there is no ring.
Autozone and orialiys will loan their pully puller kit. You may have to put down a down payment like $100 (maby less) or so but they give you the full amount right back when you return their kit, So you get to use it for FREE!!!!!. This way, you don't have to buy a puller and have it sitting around the garage and never use it again. (unless you like to keep tools on hand like me).
