hi any body having problems with tire treads cracking all around tread and by side wall and treads.mines been getting worse by the day.18in 2007 truck with 11000 miles.f150. thanks
never had that problem before....sounds like a re-cap tire about to let go of the re-cap. I wouldnt feel comfortable driving on tires like that. take it back to the dealer and have them replaced asap
You say that you have an 07 with 11,000 miles, I would take them to the dealer and see if they can do anything for you. You do have a warranty for manufaturers defects.
If the tires are OEM, then they are warrantied by the tire manufacturer, BFG. Take them to a BFG dealer, they should make the adjustment. Ford does not warranty the tires. You should have a copy of the tire warranty with the documents you received when you purchased the truck.
Yup I just purchased a 06 f150 and they are also cracking all the way around the lugs and sidewalls also, I am going to be checking into it from the dealership i bought it from..
About a year ago I brought my 05 F150 in for the same problem mentioned above. The dealer replaced my original factory tires with about 25k miles. This was done under warranty, no questions asked! I noticed the other day that my newer tires looked like they were starting to crack again.

Mine did the exact same thing at 13,000 miles on my '06 on two tires. I took it back to the dealership and they replaced them under the tire manufacures warranty. I got rid of them soon after that...hated them!
I know that there is a build date stamped on the tire. It would be interesting to see how old these OEM tires are. You would think not old at all, but I have been accused of thinking too much before!
