I know of a guy that was one of the testers for the prototypes and they look damn good in the truck. Thats also a lot cheaper than they were 2-3 years ago.

Too bad they don't have them for the '97 & '98's. They look very nice!

the 97 and 98 are not quite as electrically savvy as the 99 and up....in 99 the F150 received a major computer and electrical upgrades...chances are the 97 and 98 wont have the proper ports/hookups.

I'm only guessing, but it seems like it would look just like White Gauge faces. Is this an easy way to intentionally obscure the true mileage, or does the computer replace zero w/actual miles?

Not much of a bargain, over $250 to essentially change a few discs from black to white. I could see it if your speedo went out, but not just as a color change drill.

doesn't matter if speedo is out...if they have had any work done at a dealer...or a recall...the mileage will show.

That would look really nice in my white truck! Best part, from what I can tell, would be actual guages and not just idiot lights that looks like guages for water, oil, and volt. It appears from the add that they actually are guages. Anyone know?

According to Auto Meter's website:

2/1/2005 Lunar Replacement Clusters Now Available for 1999-2003 Ford F150 Trucks!

Give your F-150 a fresh new look with Auto Meter’s Lunar Series. This Replacement Instrument Cluster is a single piece, no nonsense gauge setup for the 1999-2003 Ford F-150. At night, the electro luminescent cluster glows green with Auto Meter’s Lunar technology, and comes pre-assembled in factory black with silver bezels. The unit is fitted with Fuel Level, Water Temperature, Speedometer, Tachometer with digital odometer/ trip setting, Voltmeter, and Oil Pressure. The actual mileage is retained on the new unit after installation and the stock style warning lights still appear across the bottom. The one-piece unit plugs directly into the factory instrument board, giving F-150 owners a serious custom gauge spread, with one swift swap.

Now if I only had some cash laying around....

Some of us own our vehicles for the entire life, and miles arent a big issue... especially on a 10 yr old truck anyways... they are worth about as little as they ever will be... 2-6k... so no big deal
