To be blunt, i am going to dick around with you alot about it. Claiming the HP numbers you said, well it's just deserving of that! It makes me laugh out loud every time i see the 395 horse power figure mentioned, on stock injectors...
All of us around here doing the basic mods, getting us to 290-310hp, and then you come in here with all your banks stuff and post up a ridiculous dyno number? Ha it's just out of the ordinary, and it really sticks out in my mind, at least.
HAHAHAHA! What is with you guys? I am just asking a question about the best turbo, injectors, HPOP and I get made fun of. Forget the dyno, I could care less about a dyno result. It seems like every time I post a thread, this forum is just looking to slam another guy to look like they are the best. A real comedian act!

Just havin some fun, Everyone has their own opinion and if your a banks fan then cool for you.
Ok, that's better. After reading everyone's results based on their mods, my numbers are unrealistic! I get it! Can we start all over again?? Nobody wants to talk Powerstroke here in Oregon and Washington, so this is why I am on here because I finally found Powerstroke fanactics. Everyone around here is all Cummins. So now that you realize I really don't care about numbers and all I care about is optimizing my motor, can we talk?
Sorry if you took our fun poking directly. It's not directed at you Mcallister. Banks is definitely not the most popular around here, only because it is largely over-priced, and under-powered. It's not the only brand that doesn't get much credit on here. I have put up with my Superchip jokes for over a year.....and recently made the change to DP Tuner. It's talked about here a LOT because it's worth it. The most bang for your buck. Another really great tuner, is the Tony Wildman tunes......several have changed over from DP and been happy with it. They have both figured out the 7.3L and have done AMAZING things with it. We're not slamming your truck in particular......only the Banks stuff on it. You came on here for advice......ya gotta be prepared to hear it! Good or Bad.
You didn't read into my mods. The only Banks stuff that remains on the vehicle is the intercooler, wastegate, compressor wheel, exhaust. The chip is gone, the tuner is there just for a read out. The banks transcommand is off, but the torque converter is still there. I got all my Banks stuff 2 years ago from some hot shot from California that ordered everything that Banks sells for his 7.3 and never came to pick it up. I got it all for retail and no charge for install. I couldn't pass it up, but MAN have I ever got crap for getting the Banks stuff!! I am SO happy with the DP Tuner. The 80 econo setting feels like the 120 setting on the banks chip. Just quicker, just better. Now, I am going to finish it off.

Well, you have come to the right place and Kris is one that can help you pump out some higher hp numbers. He has been there and done most of that. Some of the other big hp makers will be along later with some "dig deep in you pocket" mods. Good luck in you go fast quest.
Sorry if i come off as a dick over the internet. I try not to be myself on here, but sometimes it comes out and i cant help myself. Especially on Banks!
What are you looking to get out of your truck? You don't have 390 some horsepower, so don't think you are running around with a truck that powerful. On stock injectors and HPOP, you won't see more than 320 at the wheels, more on RARE occasions, like Diane's Excursion... I went from 291 hp to 375 ish, probably close to 390 or 400 i'd imagine on a 140v idm... My truck is a blast to drive now, as opposed to before. Im planning on it throwing a rod one day though, it's inevitable. It's going to happen RIGHT AFTER i buy something expensive, like a four wheeler, or bike, and won't have the money. Oh well, aside from that, I wouldnt push the rods too far. In 01 and newer trucks, they love to explore the other side of the engine block, around 400 hp. Kinda funny though, recently there has been a major influx of forged rod engines blowing up.
I just want to push the envelope. I have heard that the powered metal rods set my limits. The excursion is my wife's daily driver. I am happy to hear I am around 300 hp, sounds like I have room for more mods. I just want the motor to be alive!, and another thing that is driving me is that no one in Oregon (local) builds up their Powerstrokes. Like I said before it's all Cummins. I am looking into the CPR Pulse HPOP, Dynomite Diesel 100hp injectors, and a Garrett Turbo. I just want to know what works the best, since this is a Powerstroke forum. I also heard that with the big oil, injectors, turbo, that Jody @ DP Tuner would have to reconfigure the chip.
give Jon at electronic injection services a call 503-925-9740 he is a nice guy and will pull your injectors and rebuild them for however much horsepower you want. Just send me a pm if you want more info. Oh yeah they are located in sherwood. And he will flow test them right there as well.
