cv driveshaft

hello all, i've been having troubles with my rear drive shaft. i've been hearing a clicking sound and a slight bivration when i go forward and reverse. now i already changed all three u joints and it was fine for about two block and then the clicking sound came back. when i move the drive shaft by hand to see if there's play in the joints it's fine it won't twist. but if i move the drive shaft from side to side i see some moovement between the upper two joints.... i'm not too sure if that is normal and i wouldn't think so. my question is if the piece that connects the top two u-joints wears out too and that is what i need to replace.....
i'm not too sure on the terms, or correct names but there's a piece floating around in the middle that connects one joint to another, that is what i'm referring to... thaks to everybody in advance

ps. this is in my jeep and other forums haven't responded, i thought i would post it here....thanks again

Try posting this in General Automotive Discussion. Give year and model of Jeep and describe the shaft a bit better. Is there a center bearing in the shaft? If so that could be your problem.
