New 6th gen owner!

Finally was able to purchase my dream truck a few weeks ago. It's a 74 F250 4x4 4spd granny low. Found it in El Paso and drove it home to Indiana. Can't wait to get working on it and fixing it up!

I love the High Boys and especially the 73-77 model years. Looks like you went out there and picked up a very nice almost rust free F250. Great find on a great truck.
I bet it was an interesting drive back to In. with probably 4.10s and that 4 speed.

Thanks, sorry I never saw this post. Yes the lack of rust is the reason I went out that far! It was interesting to say the least but I enjoyed every second of it!

I have a build thread in the 73-79 section that has more pictures and details

Been tearing down the engine getting everything in good order. 35years of Texas heat and one cold Indiana winter did not play nice with all the hoses and a few gaskets. Here's where it sits now

That lovely Indiana weather gave me the break I needed to paint my core support and radiator, now I can put everything back together! It's been way too long since I fired her up

Very nice looking truck.

I understand the feeling I like to keep my project truck up and running as much as I can because for me once I can't move it around the driveway it is too easy to push it back and not work on it.

Questions on the paint colors.
What color is the cab?
What color under hood?
What color is the bed?

I ask because mine has been painted very bad and I'm going to repaint it this spring. I'm planning on red on top and white on bottom so flipped of yours. The photos I have based mine off of have red every place except along the bottom that is white.

UPDATED with better answers

Yep! Ive got a few shelves that have been blocked for quite some time now. You dont realize how much you need to move it until you cant lol.

To answer your questions
1. Cab - (Im assuming interior?) is gold... crappily sprayed gold but underneath the crappy paint job is a nice black but my paint code shows it shouldve been red inside.
1a. or maybe you are wondering what actual color is on my truck? That i dont know the PO gave it the red/gold two tone. Ill see what my paint code says it should have been. Who knows maybe the PO just added the gold and the red is original. Ill get back with ya.
2. Under hood - is black however its flaking in places and is general lee orange underneath so someone has painted a few times. IIRC most should be black or truck color underneath
3. Bed - inside is black, but id assume its like newer trucks where the bed should be the same color as the truck. My bed has seen better days

I'm finally taking the time to update my build thread. If you haven't seen it its "Fordguy2100's Hoosier build thread". All the details will be in there. Will probably give a brief description over here. Stay tuned!

Build thread is pic and story heavy. Ran into a lot of issues. Truck is running interior is torn apart and waiting on some tabco patch panels to fix rust. TC is in my truck after who knows how many years with the 2wd shaft in its place. Needing to buy all 3 driveshafts for my truck cz the others weren't correct and trying to fix a dipstick oil leak. 6pics attached, probably out of order cz im on my phone and can't fix upload order

Thanks for the info.

My truck was originally silver and blue but has been painted black. I have decided to paint it red/white two tone. I was a little worried about changing the colors because I want it to look right so looking at as many as I can to see how they have interior colors.

I think I will paint it all red inside cab, under hood, engine bay and then put a white strip down the lower section. Might not be right way to do it but I think it would be the least amount of work to tape off that way.
