Throttle Cable Firewall Grommet
Man I hate it when the throttle hangs up, fuel is expensive enough as it is...
Upon further inspection, the grommet is missing from the firewall, probably lying in the road somewhere. '65 352, anyone know what and where to find this little jewel? Or a suggested retrofit? Since I've never noticed what it looked like, I have no idea what it is even made of?, (BTW, cable at the firewall is actually thin rod) Thanks Folks!

I have had a few v8 65 and 66 trucks and they were all throttle cable.The only one that did'nt was a 6cylinder.It had a z type of throttle linkage that fit through the fire wall then the carb linkage went from there.Sounds like your's may have been changed-up by someone after the cable broke.

the 65 and 6 FE powered trucks all used a cable type of throttle setup vs linkage.
These cables are a tough find...I dont have a spare around, but my hunch is someone on here would prolly have one kicking around.
Is your carb the original autolite 2100 ??? As far as I know, thats also the only carb used on these trucks as well originally...

There's no parts catalog illustration that shows a firewall grommet that the cable would pass through.
AFAIK, it's part of the cable itself.
However....there are 8 different sized firewall grommets listed under the firewall sheetmetal section.
So what I need from you IF there's a hole in the firewall, is the outside diameter of the hole and the outside diameter of the cable.
