I'm planning on using the 2" hole in the firewall that is to the left of the brake for my Edge EAS sensor wire. Does anyone know where to get a grommet or plug that would fit that? Or does everyone just leave it open?
Many trucks have a few " pass thru" wires already in place. Check the harness behind the master cylinder for taped back wires that aren't connected, pick a size/color and you should find the other end under the dash near the parking brake pedal mount.
I don't know why I didn't think of McMaster, they have one for $15.27. Thinking about it, do they make any with a membrane in the middle? More a rubber plug I guess? Then I could slit it and it would still kinda seal around the wire? Maybe I'm just overthining all this... I just want to do it once and be done, don't like having to do things multiple times and waste money.
